A rare ancient fern that is  uncommon, hard to grow, but is very attractive. Slow creeping hairy chestnut-brown rhizomes with distinctive delicate fronds, yellow green above, and lighter below. Restricted to Northland and Coromandel. Endemic. Rare. Stock is limited. Collectors fern.
The pictured stock plant was obtained from Oratia Native Plant Nursery many years ago and has not been moved from this large pot since. Barb is about to split it. We may have some viable plants available in smaller bags during 2025.
