About Us
Barb and Wes Bycroft are passionate about New Zealand native ferns and have been propagating, growing and selling them for more than 35 years.
As well as stocking common ferns, we specialise in rare, endangered ferns and species that are difficult to purchase anywhere else.

Ferns are living, often delicate, items. They are always growing and changing, so do not lend themselves to the online, click and deliver that we have come to enjoy.
We encourage you to browse and choose your purchases, then email us, so we can start a dialogue about your choices and how they can be delivered. We have used couriers to send ferns all over New Zealand.
Note we do not sell plants or spores outside of New Zealand.
Plants depicted growing in the garden or in bags or pots, were photographed at either of our Oratia or Waipu properties and taken by us unless stated otherwise. We like to show them growing in the garden along with samples in different sized bags, or showing some special characteristic such as sori, scales etc.
